Happy Friday everyone! My facialist have been giving me grief for using an oil-based make up remover and have attributed my constant problems with little whiteheads and clogged pores to my previous holy grail make up remover, the Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil.
I know a lot of you use the Shu Uemura as a make up remover, however, although it is the one-step no fuss make up remover that gets rid of everything, my facialist is of the opinion that as it is oil-based, you need to completely emulsify the oil in order to ensure that no residue is left on your face and she believes that even with double-cleansing, if oil is not emulsified properly, it may lead to clogged pores. However, I still love the Shu Uemura to date and use it whenever I am travelling and when I get home really late at night.
This Eye & Lip makeup remover only cost about HK$40 and has amazed me.
As with most eye and lip make up removers, the Biore has two layers and you need to shake well before use. You then pour some onto a cotton pad, press it lightly onto your eye (closed), leave it for about 5 seconds and gently wipe it away from your eye.
Most of your eye make up would have been dissolved by this remover, and you then just need to fold your cotton pad, go in again to remove your eyeliner/mascara in the same way. There is no tugging needed.
It is hands down the best eye makeup remover that I have ever used.
The Biore Watery Cleansing Liquid (HK$60 - 80) is a gel-based formula. I fell in love with this because of how amazing it feels when I massage it onto my skin. You actually feel like you're getting aromatherapy on your face.
It is also very effective in removing all traces of my face make up. Please don't use this on your eyes though - I made this mistake in the beginning when I thought it would work like the Shu Uemura. It does not.
