REVIEW:: Dr. Wu Microinject Hydrating Mask with Hyaluronic Acid

Happy Sunday guys! Hope everyone had a great weekend. Recently, I have found a new hydrating face mask that I absolutely adore - Dr. Wu. 

For friends who have not heard of Dr. Wu, it is a Taiwanese clinical skincare brand famous for its hydration products, in particular - their hyaluronic acid serum (the only one I've used that does not smell). 

I never believed in spending more than HK$30 on a single piece of face mask so this is definitely the most expensive one I tried - and it works wonders. I got it on a site called AnthonG (they have stores around HK too) and it is cheaper than Mannings at $129 for three pieces and $419 for 12 pieces. 

Other than the main ingredient, Sodium Hyaluronate, which provides intense hydration, this Dr. Wu mask also contains Oceagen, a type of soluble collagen that will lift and improve elasticity. It also contains a moisturizing compound "Moist 24 TM" which can travel deep into our epidermis and retain moisture. 

The mask comes in three layers and you peel off the thick white layer first and place the mask on your skin. 

This mask is incredibly thin, the mask can be easily morphed to fit the shape of your face, allowing maximum absorption. 

You then peel off the thicker layer with a bluish tint and smooth the mask out - the mask is so thin that your skin shows through it.  This Dr. Wu mask fits so perfectly on every corner, it really is amazing - especially on areas around the nose/lips that most face masks tend to neglect due to the cut, Dr. Wu's got you covered. 

The material of the mask is a type of high quality cotton sourced from the top 1% and uses a patented technology whereby it maximizes the effects of micro injecting hyaluronic acid into our skin and augmenting absorption by each and every one of our pores (the mask is designed with tiny holes designed to mimic our pores).

The results of the mask can be seen instantly - the dry patch of painful red skin on my cheek calmed down and was less flaky in just 20 minutes of application. 

Overall, a wonderful product that I cannot recommend more!
